Are you dressing up for Christmas parties this year?

Which theme takes your fancy?

Speakeasy Style

If you’re getting in to the ‘swing’ of things and dressing ‘speakeasy style’ for our Christmas parties, take your inspiration from the age of jazz and the unique style of The Great Gatsby.

For ladies it’s all about the flapper dress. You could choose a beaded or fringed style in almost any colour – just as long as it’s drop-waisted! Add chains of pearls, feathered or diamante hair clips and accessorise with an art deco clutch bag. Thankfully for us, those iconic 1920s T-bar court shoes were made for dancing!

The keyword is sophistication when it comes to men’s 1920s fashion, so dress to impress in tailored suits or go for a more casual newsboy style. This era was one for the top hats, so if you want to go all out this Christmas we suggest getting your hands on this timeless piece!

Hollywood Glamour

Wondering what to wear to our Hollywood Ball? It’s glitz and glamour all the way here. Take inspiration from recent red carpet looks – think Lupita Nyong’o’s fairytale Oscar’s gown, or make a statement with a unique Angelina Jolie-style ensemble. Hollywood fashion lends itself perfectly to floor-length maxi dresses, sky scraper heels and bold colour accents from nails to lippy! Don’t forget to complete the look with sparkling diamonds and a snug faux fur stole before you make your own red carpet entrance.

For men Hollywood fashion is a little more subtle, with the emphasis on perfectly cut tailoring and sharp snappy dressing. We love trim tuxes, perfect peak-lapelled tuxedos and smart bow ties on a Hollywood gentleman. Take notes from Brad Pitt!

Glitter Ball Fashion

The Glitter Ball is all about dance through the decades, leaving you plenty of scope for themed fancy dress! The party will include all the hits, from the classics of the 60s and 70s to upbeat salsa and hip-hop’s top tunes. So select your era and get your thinking cap on if you want to create a Glitter Ball look that’ll get everyone talking!

We love the idea of sequins and sparkles, fun and colour for this celebration. It’s time to bring out that favourite party dress – you know, the one that makes you feel like dancing ‘till dawn? Add a pair of strappy disco heels and you’re ready to party! Don’t forget the emergency flats though, you don’t want anything getting in the way of your moves!

For men the Glitter Ball offers plentiful opportunities. Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the 1970s and opt for bright, bold colours and of course a pair of those much-loved flared trousers, or go all out with salsa-style for a more exotic look!  The world really is your oyster, we can’t wait to see what you come up with this Christmas!
